All up we had 59 pieces of art
to exhibit. A record number
of entries for our small group!

Together with the market on
Saturday we were pleased
to see art, artists and
the community come together
for a wonderful art event.

Thank you to all.

The artwork on this blog is                                just a small sample in the
art show. We thank all the                                participants for their work.

Exhibition Without a Title

26/3/2019

Picture

We are delighted to bring another art experience
to Moonambel.
We decided to go
without a title
to give everyone the chance to exhibit their talents artistically in 2D or 3D.

It is not too late to enter your wonderful creations.
Just contact either Jan or Garry (details on poster)
for the entry forms.

All we ask  is for the work
to be presented well.
That is, framed if needed,
and the ability to be hung
on our hook system.
Plinths, maybe, if you have 3D work or contact us
for clarificaton.
(See contacts on the poster).

Maggie's Open Studio

29/5/2018

Picture

Once again
we are excited to present Maggie's annual Open Studio.

Maggie will be working
at her house all weekend
so feel free to talk
to the artist at work.

Maggie is also exhibiting
work by local
Moonambel artists
Jacqui & Russell Drever and ceramisist Sanne Malkaer.

The beautifully renovated
mud brick octagonal home,
all done by Maggie herself,
is a pleasant back drop
for these talented artists
to display their art pieces.

Capturing Character well & truly captured

Exhibition Day is near...

22/3/2018

Easter is near and so is our Exhibition. We have many fantastic photos in the competition and a market with lots of variety of goodies for sale. The Easter egg hunt for the children should be fun and the Sunday 'Meet & Mingle' is always a winner.

Just remember in your Easter weekend to come to the exhibition in Moonambel either Saturday or Sunday.

Hogan & Fox Exhibition

6/9/2017

PictureThe Twin

As we expected, the artists,
Merri Hogan and Barry Fox,
provided us with a very classy exhibition.
Their work definitely
complemented each other with the
natural colours of earth and timber
providing an Australian atmosphere.

Barry exhibited his Australian animals
but also some new creations
from the fantasy world.
They were definitely a talking point.

We also saw the development
of Merri's work
from black and white etching
to adding wonderful earthy colours
in the printing stage.

Unfortunately, the photos
do not do Merri's work justice as
the reflection on the glass
was unavoidable.

The 'Meet and Greet' saw
 large crowd delighting in
the exhibition.
As Louise Staley mentioned,
MAHG always has a wonderful blend
of fine art with beautiful
Pyrenees wines.

Once again we managed to bring
our local talent out on show
for the community to enjoy.

Hogan & Fox Exhibition

10/8/2017

Picture

We are thrilled to present
two local artists combining
in what promises to be
a most exciting exhibition.

Both artists are branching out
into new areas.

Merri Hogan comes from
a drawing background
and is exploring this further
with etching and printing.

Barry Fox usually
carves small animals
and is venturing into
the fantasy world.

We are also running a market
on the Saturday 9am to 1pm.

Contact Jan Curtis
if you would like to run a stall.
(see poster)

As usual, MAHG will run
a barbecue stall
and devonshire teas (or coffees)
during the market hours.

See you there!
